Boğaziçi University (Boğaziçi Universitesi)
Formerly known as American Robert College, which was the first, American College established outside the borders of the United States. In 1971 the school was formally founded as Boğaziçi Universitesi. The classes are in English and the University has good reputation in Turkey. It has four faculties, six institutes (offering graduate programs), the school of Foreign Languages, Applied Disciplines and Advanced Vocational Studies. Many of the University's buildings are located on the site next to Rumelihisarı looking over Bosphorus.
